Based in McFarland, WI, we build custom furniture, shelves, and home decor for homes across Madison and Southern Wisconsin. Every piece is made by hand from locally and responsibly sourced wood, and designed with you from the first idea to the day it’s in place.
Custom Pieces
Some of the best moments in a home happen around the things we build for it: the table where everyone gathers, the shelf that holds the books you love, the desk where good ideas start. We design each piece with you, from the first conversation about your space to the day we set it in place. You’ll see it in 3D before we cut a single board and we’ll share photos and videos as it takes shape. Here’s how it works:
Share your vision - Let us know about the piece and the space it’s for.
Design it together - We talk through wood options and style. You’ll receive a 3D design.
Reserve your spot - A 50% down payment holds your place in our build queue.
Watch it come to life - You will receive photo and video updates throughout the build.
Delivered and installed - We provide local delivery and install. The remaining 50% is due at delivery.
Ready Made Items
Not every piece needs to be custom. Between larger builds, we make small batches of handcrafted items, like reading valets, display boxes, cutting boards, and cribbage boards, that are ready to go when you are. They make great gifts or easy additions to your home. Browse our store to see what we have available now. If you fall in love with something, ask about a custom version.

The pieces that we routinely make fall into three different categories: Furniture, Wall Shelving and cabinets, and Home Decor.
Our furniture pieces include all types of tables like side and coffee tables, dining tables, and more as well as bookcases, desks, and floor standing cabinet pieces to name a few.
In addition to furniture, our wall shelves and cabinet pieces include display cases, open shelves, and floating shelves.
Finally, we also can create decor pieces that range from game boards like cribbage boards to display boxes.

Our custom process begins with you reaching out to us through our custom piece inquiry form or on social media messaging. Initial communications will go over wood options and design styles and options. After this, we will produce a quote for your piece.
Once you approve the quote, you will be requested to pay a 50% down payment. This secures your placement in our build queue. Additionally, we will finalize design drawings and begin purchasing materials for the piece.
When your piece is up in the queue, the build will begin. We will update you throughout the build process with pictures and/or videos.
Once the piece has been completed, we will coordinate the delivery. We will install the piece in the location you want it. Smaller items are able to be shipped and you will be provided instructions on proper installation. Delivery is also the moment which we will collect the remaining 50% of the invoice for your piece.

The wood we use for our pieces comes from local hardwood lumber suppliers who get the lumber from sustainable resources.
We also have resources to utilize urban lumber from the greater Madison, WI area which can add to the story of the piece.

Wood, no matter how it is finished can move with moisture variations. Proper moisture control in the environment is essential to preventing unwanted wood movement.
Using mild soap and water for surface cleaning is recommended. Dry the surfaces immediately to prevent excess moisture damaging the wood. Commercial cleaners can damage any kind of wood finish.
